Frequently
Asked Questions ..
How
do I plan our portrait session?
Designing your portrait session can be
an exciting, intimate and exhilarating experience for the entire family. And when
the finished portrait is on display in your home or office, you will find that the
carefully planned session will be reflected in a tasteful work of art that is
individualized in both style and design. Portrait
images will carry a dimension of how we feel about ourselves and our family members.
Your decorative portraiture will become a personal expressive statement of family,
children, pets, or events. Most of all, a well planned session will communicate a
dimension of expression on how we feel about ourselves and our family. If this is
your first time in our studio it's probably best to consider a consultation with one of
our representatives. You may phone us at (562) 698-4011 or
contact us to
set up a free studio consultation.
Do you
have sessions for expectant mothers or new born babies?
Yes, this special time in your life can be best captured with a professional
portrait. Newborn sessions are done free of charge when you register with
the studio. Please click here for
more information.
Can
you tell me the "best way" to plan for a family portrait
session?
Yes, please click
here for some suggestions, contact us via email or telephone for more
information. We're here to help make your session a pleasurable and
memorable experience.
Do you have
gift certificates available?
Yes, we do have gift certificates that you can purchase. Click
here to fill out our form online or contact the studio directly at 562
698-4011.
Do you have props available?
Yes, we do have some props available and Rebecca can help determine at the time of your
session what props might be appropriate. We do encourage you to bring your own props and
keepsakes as they reflect your lifestyle and individuality.
Can I bring a change of clothes?
Yes. We encourage one change of clothing that would reflect your personal style. But more
than one change tends to make the session longer and will require an additional fee. In
addition, a drawn-out photo session can make you or your child's day long and cumbersome
instead of enjoyable.
Do you have clothes available?
Yes, most of the "high key" (White) clothing you see in my portraits belong to
the studio. Please contact us for more details.
Do you ever
have specials?
Yes, we occasionally run specials for our patrons. Click
here for more details.
So do we plan for our home or
office decor?
Yes, please "click here" for decor ideas!
How do we determine the best size
portrait for a particular location?
It is best to choose settings in your
home or office best suited to enhancement by portrait photography. A well planned
survey of your wall space will help us explore your ideas and plan a creative portrait
session. Appropriately sized portraits will dominate the space on the wall in which
they are hung. It is best to pre-determine whether you want a horizontal or vertical
portrait. Remember your portrait will become the room's focal point and all elements of
design, color, style, composition and size must work together to complete the decorative
statement. Once you have found the perfect spot
for a portrait you should measure the area for optimum viewing throughout the room. Our
hanging portrait sizes are: 11x14 - 16x20 - 20x24 - 24x30 - 30x40 - 40x60. Click
here for more information on decoration with portraiture.

How do we choose our prints?
To help you make that special selection, the poses you will see will be presented in a
series of slide transparencies. This will aid you in narrowing down your selections and
projecting enables you to see what you finished portraits will look like in their actual
size. Additionally, it is important that all people responsible for the decision making be
present at your portrait presentation. Please allow one uninterrupted hour for the viewing
and no children please. Sorry we do not provide proofing images; however, we do have
virtual image previews available. These previews are for our "out of the area
clients" and can be accessed via our website on the internet.
